“You can’t get better than a Kwik Fit Fitter”, but what if you had a Kwik Fit Fitter in your pocket?

Having spoke previously about how brands now have a unique opportunity to offer consumers branded utilities that will help their consumers in a relevant way; I think Kwik Fit is really missing out by not engaging their consumers through digital platforms. The Kwik Fit “You’ll be amazed at what we can do” campaign by DDB UK launched in 2008 on TV was an entertaining way that promoted the variety of services that they now offer.

However, Kwit Fit’s target audience often want their services on a budget and more than often have little knowledge about the servicing needs of their car. Therefore, I think that Kwik Fit would really benefit from producing an app, which informed users of simple day-to-day care for their vehicle. From video clips of how to check and maintain your tyre pressure to a calendar reminding them when their next MOT, insurance and tax is required. The app could then locate the individual’s nearest Kwik Fit store and provide the user with a direct means of getting in contact with them to book in and select the required services. The app could also provide the user with answers to all those unknown questions, such as what is the illegal tread depth of a tyre.
