Interflora gives free flowers to Twitter users in need of cheering up
February 17, 2011
As consumers crave a sense of realness from brands, brands have begun connecting with consumers through random acts of kindness.
In September 2010, UK based flower delivery company Interflora launched a social media campaign designed to brighten up the lives of Twitter users by sending them flowers. As part of the campaign, Interflora monitored Twitter looking for users that it believed might need cheering up. Once found, the users were contacted directly and sent a bouquet of flowers as a surprise.
